On the recent camp out on a cold December saturday night...

We used 2 #12 Dutch ovens and 3 #10's and fired 3 tin's of charcoal in
starters..

Dutch Oven Stew- by ->A No.1<-

(*This entire meal should amount to cut and dump- easy for the boys)

Big roast of beef- cut into cubes... brown first around 4pm

Next prepare the Potato,Carrot,Onion,Garlic<g> in big piles or tubs...

KNOCK THE BUGS OUT OF THE DUTCH OVENS<g>
...and the browned meat that could be speeded by being cooked on a
propane
or gas stove... is divided into the big Dutch's..

Veggies are added along with a bag of "brown gravy mix"...

Lay on top of the "stew" a layer of fluffy biscuit "popp'n fresh"
freezer muffins..

Put the top on- sit it on some coals, add coals to lid put next dutch on
that and add coals to top of second one<G>  *Cook-on!

(In the others- put a crushed tin foil plate in the bottom and another
clean tinfoil plate
on top and fill 'em with more Pillsbury dough boys<G> 2 levels high with
crossed sticks to keep them from touching the two layers of  baking
biscuits)

All this- about 30 mins so it's 4:30 pm

The last two dutch Oven will be "cobbler" for desert...

Peach Cobbler-

Line dutch with foil for quick clean-up<G>

Open and dump a tall can of sliced peaches in heavy sauce..
Add 1 or 2 packs of white cake mix... maybe a bit of spice if yahoo got
some<G>

(This camp we tried cherries with blue berry compote and the white cake
mix)

keep checking the stew and plan for dinner around 5:30!
