Lot's of folks think Royal Rangers is some "thing-event or program"
owned by the Assemblies of God. Turn it on wed. night turn it off
at 9pm..

*It isn't.. we bring boys into *fellowship..and with each other we make
bonds that last lifetimes... we are doing this today with Ranger net bringing

down the walls that separate us by boundaries! *Praise God that in the last
days just before his return we would get a chance to meet...

Now what?

During the Vietnam war, as the population grew of POW's in the Hanoi Hilton,
those that were there were led to learn the names of those they knew so that
they might be remembered... Under the enemy, in prison they strained to know

each and every man. That wasn't required or official policy, it was just
respect due, and honor given to whom honor is due.

The Marines will never forget their dead. *and Mitch was a Marine...Jan 25
1968
when he went home to Jesus! But for whatever brief period that he came to
OP22
and for whatever he heard... When he wanted straight talk, it was a Royal
Ranger
leader he came too.

Thanks Cdr.Hank for "being there"....if our "work" is to just be there.. I
hope
the entire story of Mitch Silvers could one day be preached as our jobs are
not over!

We "plant seeds" but we also are nurture the growing tree...I think the
growing tree is called "character" and what we want is good fruit to
bloom...*that is good work!

Mitch "knew" what he faced...he knew that he was obliged to yield to
authority and
face war head-on.. in the worst of the fighting in Viet-Nam. He trained and
was equiped
for the fight. Not every warrior returns, not every prayer is answered...and
as a friend I still feel the shock of his death.

Our Motto is to be READY for anything.. and while we don't need to preach
fear... We should be sober about the choices the Rangers will have to make,
and that the decision made is prudent, for at anytime we might be called to
meet
Jesus... Our actions in this life will be accountable to him. How will the
fallen answer when asked: Is your mane in the book of life?

Mitchell was ready...
