Sounds like if you get 2 of these going you could have patrol recreations timed events. The first 2 boys get on till they fall off. then the next boy from the same patrol start. they keep going until all the boys from one patrol has gone through then the other patrol wins. It's just an Idea.

*call it a "Indo-board" a "surf trainer" WHATEVER...BUT SAVE YURSELF

...and take a 1" plywood shelf board 16" wide and about 36" long and
round the ends
into a "surfboard shape"... paint or varnish and add surf stickers<G>
Get a 3" PVC drain pipe and endcaps that are flush with the surface of
the pipe..
and add three 1" nonskid stripes of tape to the pipe that is now the
"Roller"
How Too-
Put the roller on a CARPET FLOOR- board on roller and stand by with
"spotters"
as the boys figure out their "balance"....
