Well, our outpost attended our Section Winter campout last night. We had
three Pioneers and 8 Trailblazers, three other commanders and myself. A
beautiful cold evening, and the FCF conducted an outstanding Council Fire.
The highlight for me was seeing one of our Trailblazers in prayer with one of
our Lt. Commanders. This boy had been going through a tough time recently at
home and school. I overheard him pouring his heart out to the commander.
This lasted at least 25 or 30 minutes. Another reason Royal Rangers is
greatest ministry to boys. The commander was deeply moved that the boy would
open up to him as his did.
One of our newest commanders asked prayer for his wife. She has MS. They
found out about a year ago. Leaders, please call her name to the Lord. Her
name is Janet.
After sitting up to about 12:30 the commanders turned in. I got cold a
little but not bad. And at 5:30 Saturday morning (today) the sleet began to
fall. And it turned to freezing rain about 8:oclock. Well, we thought it
best to head home early so we broke camp and left at lunch. Two campouts in
a row for us to have rain. I hope this is not a trend. But if it is we will
be READY, because we are Royal Rangers.
