My son and I wandered the books at Barnes and Nobel last night...
and he came up with a "must-have" book on the discount rack<G>

It was a book of 81 tuff questions... and the answer to each<G>

The questions ranged from theories for math to science trivia...but for
15 year old Josh.. he had to have it! *It was a book of wonders!

I watched in amazement that he paid for the book himself and started to
read it!

*What was it that caught his attention?

The "gift of knowledge" is growing in his young mind! Knowing
things...breeds
freedom and independence, resourceful ness and the keys to tackle any
task.

How you do that is to first... define the problem- state what you
know..and what you observe... describe then your goal... Resources are
found in others who have passed that way, and left information as to
what they found... *Insight!

Suddenly I had a "insight" that what we wait for in the boys are *Good
Questions!
Effective questioning leads to research.. and that is frankly easier
than ever today!

I asked the boys of the Outpost- "what do you think?" and received back
blank looks<G> *They assumed I as "leader" would tell them what to
think! Try preaching
"thinking" to a group that don't! Mayby that's why they don't "Pay"
Ranger leaders!

*What seems so powerful is the lack of questions as to why things are
and what we should do.... the mind is a resource and soon and very soon
all or deepest questions will be answered! *Mayby being Ready... is to
cultivate a desire for questions to be asked/answered! Maybe God want's
us to gain Insight.. to deepen our Love for him and for each other!

What do you think?<G>
