Today we visted the local surf shop www.gorgeperformance.com in Portland right on the Willamette river where our friends Bob and Mike work. Oregon is a "Longboard" kind of wave... and when you talk "surfing" here, it's not like bikini beach or "Bay Watch" but more like "Kieko the Killer Wale" and persoal experiances of hypothremia<G> makeing "Aloha spirit" happen around a roaring fire in the driftwood<G> YOU NEED THE RIGHT WET SUIT! "Wet suits" come in various sizes-styles and thicknesses... to Surf- you need something flexible for paddleing, and warm on the bottom for waiting for the "humunga cowabunga" to arrive<G> Josh spotted one on the rack at "The Next Adventure" where I do my recycle sporting goods shopping with another 'friend named Brian<G> (*You need friends) Here's the way to get what you want! *Think about what you are willing to give up from "the last adventure" to aquire the gear for the "next adventure" and *Trade! Josh found a pair of old "cramp-ons" that you may need one time in your life to climb Mt.Hood, a set of snow board bindings and a snowboard that he didn't want (*because he's a ski dude) and some used polar "fleese" pull-overs.. ...Just enough<G> for the trade! *Rip Curl- Extream-winter size "M" 6mm full body.... Josh got it on, and came out looking like a California Harbor seal<G> *Cool... man! check this out Dad.. it says: "IT'S ALLWAYS SUMMER INSiDE" *Cool man.. RAD! said "Dad<G>" You know- this old world is a very cold place... People often don't give a rip... and treat you like ice. *If you go out with them they can kill you!
