Thank you! I was getting worried. I guess my post did not accomplish what I
had hoped it would.
Lord please forgive us for showing parts of ourselves that we need to give
more fully to you before they ever see the light of day again. Lord I pray
no one that is unsaved saw any of these posts lest they draw confusion from
us.

Subject: [RR] Peace!
I perceive that there may be some serious misunderstandings and danger of
contention, here.
Will, please forgive me and forgive Duane if you see anything but love in
our posts.
If you ever find yourself "teasing" someone, and they react in anything
other than fun, cease and desist immediately and apologize. If someone
offends you in this manner, and they ask for forgiveness, give it to that
person immediately and in love. You have to. (Search the Scriptures
yourself, and you will see what I mean.)
Yes, we can discuss hard issues here, but let's always do so in love, in a
safe environment filled with Christian charity, and with an honest effort to
learn from the Word of God and each other.
People have a tendency to stumble on a solid truth -- and think that it is
the only truth applicable to a given situation. Let's not forget about
balance and peace. For example, with the issue of Women in Royal Rangers, I
have seen a lot of truths posted, and they seem to be contradictory, but
they really aren't:
1. It is no sin to have a special ministry for men & boys alone or for women
& girls alone.
2. There is value to having men mentor boys and women mentor girls.
3. God sometimes calls women to minister to boys, perhaps with their husband
or perhaps not.
4. Women, and especially sisters in Christ, are to be treated with respect
and kindness, and this is no threat to a real man of God.
5. Royal Rangers in different countries handle the issues of women and girls
in Royal Rangers differently.
6. Sometimes shortages of men doing their duty cause women to step in where
we might like to see men. When they do, they should be thanked and not take
the heat for the men who should be doing that job.
7. The Golden Rule is our daily rule.
8. The Holy Bible acknowledges women in positions of ministry (although some
folks take one or two verses out of context and claim otherwise). See the AG
position paper for a more balanced view.
9. Some people hold ideas that come from the world and from people, but not
from God. As evident from the discussion, here (at least evident to me),
these worldly ideas aren't restricted to one "side" of an argument. We need
to replace these views with God's views.
10. Sometimes failure to obtain agreement by logic, love, and Scripture
results in a fleshly tendency to resort to invective and innuendo. Don't do
that.
