All,

Well, two weeks ago I posted a letter about what a blessing I had received
at ANTC "one year ago."
My intent was to touch base with any other folks (note the gender
neutrality) who had been there as well when we endured Hurricane Floyd and
prevailed in Jesus' Name.
Got a couple of those (thanks Denis, et al) and then, to my chagrin, the old
NTC dead horse rose up and the pro/con posts flowed faster than the rains of
Floyd.
I'm going to try again with a different subject and hope I don't cause
offence.
If you DO want to take offence, I got a couple of sections in the back yard
you can have. Home Depot specials. Soooooooooo..........take a fence.

This past Wednesday we had the opportunity to spend 15 minutes in front of
the Wednesday night congregation. We had 6 of our Challengers who had gone
to Junior Training Camps in August and I wanted to present them to the
Church (since the Church had paid their way).
We had three for the JLTC and three for the AJTC (Advanced Junior Training).
Two of them gave testimonies but that is not what I want to talk about.
We came in early while worship was still going on and I encouraged the guys
to enter in. They mostly did although I think they would have preferred some
DELIRIOUS or THIRD DAY music (can't say I blame them, Sr. Cdr. would've
liked that too!).......anyway............
The time came to have prayer. Pastor Alan read the submitted requests and
then asked anyone with needs to raise their hands and those around them
would lay hands on them.
So I went to a little old lady about three rows back and started to pray. We
prayed for a few minutes and then as I looked up there were my Rangers
scattered throughout the church laying hands on people and praying. This ol'
Sr. Cdr. just about burst right out of his Navy Blue Hoopiedo Blazer.
At Pow Wow, when the rain cancelled the Friday night Council Fire, these
boys had stepped up and put on one of their own inside the Outpost camp
complete with song service, message and prayer time.
Yep, JLTC is modeled after NTC and the boys eat it up and every one, every
one, that I've sent to that camp has returned prepared to enter into
leadership.
Yep, AJTC is modeled after ANTC and the boys who went to that are right now
helping me, serving as Junior Leaders. They have stepped in and helped in
the other age groups. This weekend they have volunteered to help the
Children's pastor as we host the District Christian Education Conference.
To me, the proof's in the puddin'
The program works.
