A thought to add, for those of you who have tme during the week, my husband
has one day during the week off and he is using that to have lunch at school
with our boys. They are so excited that CMDR. Chris is coming to their
school (individualy) just to see them. I love it.

Subject: Re: [RR] Rangers as individuals?

Just back from a Scout JLTC Camp!

*Suggestion-
You cannot be an effective Commander without deligateing the
leadership enough so that you know each boy by name and something
about him. By asking, probeing or haveing a quick word each meeting,
and perhaps keeping a notebook handy, you jot down trivia... intrests
with each boy, and the 'remembering of where you left off, translates
into a signal of respect. Respect with time becomes trust!
*Trust is the goal, and *Love is the outcome!

A leader can "set the tone" and the agenda for encounters that
allow a mutual discovery of the path to understanding.
*Games with meaning... *frank discussions of ethics....
Ask "Reflective questions!" and let the answers drive the direction
of the conversation, untill every Ranger is "getting something"...
What else?
