Our church also has an alternative party. We don't want to "punish" our kids for being 
righteous.

Yes. I have a pile of little booklets containing the Gospel According to John (NIV) 
that I bought from the International Bible Society all ready to hand out, this year. 
They aren't scary, don't promote tooth decay or stomach aches, and do have words that 
lead to eternal life in them. What better way to be a good neighbor to 
trick-or-treaters?

Check with your local Christian book stores and see if they have some good tracts to 
give out along with or instead of candy.
