I believe, if done carefully, some things can be counted for two
different merits. Example is the 5 mile hile for hiking and pathfinder.
Make sure you do the pathfinder requirements and you have also knocked
out  the hiking hike. Bachelor cooking should be done at home, on a house
stove,  so I would not count it for cooking merit. I try to get as much
out of each activity as possible within the guidelines of no more no
less. As for duplication from Pioneers to Trailblazers,  Repetitiveness
is the way the program was set up in order to master the skills plus the
Trailblazer skills when repeated from Pioneers usually ask for more
things to do.
