John;

The person in the coffin was probably a peace officer. The
patrol cars were 1) a courtesy escort to the dead (slain?)
officer &/or 2) representative of the different
departments the dead officer had worked for during his/her
career.

|Y'all,
|
| Hey there since were on the
|subject of funerals, I wasn't going to ask this.
|However the subject is up. When I was on the bus going
|to from Edwarsville to Granite City. I saw cars that
|had the body in a funeral car and stuff okay. No big
|deal you usually see this, but however there were three
|
|cops cars for it. One was city cop, was one a sherrif
|one I think and I forgot what the other one was. How
|come three cop cars? Myself don't like to be around
|them at dark time. Josh and I were riding our bike
|home in the dark, we were very close to home. We saw a
|morgue(sp) car at a house. They were pulling out a
|dead body when we went by. Boy was it a scary sight.
