Hi there,

Thanks for that bit about Psalm 91. I have long liked this one.

Several years ago, I was at a concert with a Scottish singer/songwriter
named Ian White. He has been putting the Psalms to music. When he sang
Psalm 91, he told the story of a young girl who heard that song in
concert before he had recorded it. She asked if she could have a copy
of that song for her father as this was one of his favourite Psalms.
Her father at that time was a soldier participating in Desert Shield or
Desert Storm (whichever phase it was up to then.) A special tape got
made and sent to the Gulf. He listened to it and was blessed by it and
shared it around his camp and the presence of God was there. What was
especially meaningful for them was the verse about "they will tread on
the lion and the cobra." Apparently, these were the codenames for the
zones they had to cover.

Just thought I would share all that with you.
