My beard appears to be safe, so far... but then not all registrations and
donations have come in.

Cheques do work from overseas, but Mastercard doesn't work this time. The
reason Mastercard doesn't work is that we have no credit card merchant
account. I investigated what it would take to start one up, and it costs a
lot of money... not just to start, but fees every month. For one Cyber
Pow-Wow every 2 years, it just doesn't make sense. Now it may be that by
the 2001 Cyber Pow-Wow, we can arrange some cost-effective way to process
credit cards (probably by arranging to use an already-existing merchant
account that is justified by its volume). This year, we didn't.
To get a cheque to us, there are at least 3 ways to do it:
(1) Go to your bank and ask for a draft in U. S. dollars drawn on a U. S.
Bank. There will probably be a fee associated with this, in addition to the
equivalent amount in Deutshe Marks.
(2) Get a postal money order in U. S. dollars.
(3) Send a cheque or money order in Deutshe Marks and let Rainbow Missions
do the conversion. To do this, add US$15 to the amount due, then multiply
by the current exchange rate (multiply U. S. Dollars by 1.82 to get Deutshe
Marks), write the cheque, and send it to
