The best book I've read on the subject is _The_Gospel_According_To_
_Rome_. It compares Catholicism to evangelical Christianity in a fair
and undemeaning sort of way. I come from a very Catholic background
and family, so it was a welcome book. Don't remember the author, since
I loaned the book to somebody.
