*Here's my spin on this....

My Commander set the tone for Leadership when he addressed his
Regional FCF staff in his Royal Ranger uniform.. *This was
before the demise of the fraternity, and at the peak of a
re-newed intrest in authentic outfits and Blackpowder shooting..

It was somewhat a shock!<G>

He did that to make a point that FCF is firmly planted to better
the Royal Ranger program, and not to spin off resources, talent
and drive.

The words Cdr.Johnnie used at the first call-out to define FCF
at it's start were shaped to challenge us to better our Outposts
thru *excellence in Leadership- Friendship- Courage- Achievement-
and Woodsmanship... *It was those attitudes that he described as:

"The Great Wilderness- The great Challenge... requireing a frontier
*spirit"

So it's my Opinion... when a Commander impliments the Royal Ranger
program and achieves success.. That is like a fortress in the wilderness..
a rufuge of *excellence... a safe harbor in a sea of darkness...
and fully withing the *spirit of FCF!

*One CAN be a FCF member and "not get it".....

Last night.... a Mom returned a Trailblazers uniform and awards
includeing his FCF frontiersman pin in a box........

This boy was Sr.Guide... and now his FCF pin rests in a pile with
old Pioneer awards and merits! *Who will ever wear that pin?

I happen to know where 3 charter member pins for FCF are...

#1 is mine :') ..for better or worse, I'm here<G>
#2 was sold to me, to promote the Gospel in missionary service..
#3 rest in a sock drawer, with all the *spirit drained out.

Others are wandering from the fire.. and *ONE is 'beyond the fire..

Unlike other awards... FCF pins are awarded by the Chapter after
successfull *Call-out and Phase 1 and 2 testing... *This boys
membership is the basis of a man's "Buckskin Membership" and
echo's a failure of character in the youngman....

                   -------**X**----------

The HIGH-CALL is not to preserve and protect FCF as being special..

The High-Call is to preserve the mark at which membership in FCF
generates positive movement in the lives of Rangers for JESUS!
we must be vigilent, to encourage each other on!

....sometimes we miss the mark, and lose the trail, *But allways
we are welcome to come home<G> ....for softly an tenderly, JESUS is
calling...

FCF remains very special to me.. But because *I can see the goal..
I can agree with what Bro. Mark says for his outpost. The proof
is in the fruit... Test the fruit!
