I'm very sorry that some of have had such a bad exposure to FCF.
There are many ministries I don't happen to endorse, but lack of endorsement
on my part does not make them any less of a ministry to others, so long as
they are in keeping with the Word.
Frankly, the message below looks like something taken from the complaints of
the *old FCF that earned the reputation noted below.
I'm not sure what District is being referred to below, but I can assure the
readers and authors that that my experience for the past 18 years in FCF in
the Nor/Cal Nevada District have been nothing but exceptional.
Sure, i've heard stories of the way FCF'rs have abused the very core of what
we stand for, and it makes me sick to think that so many could get so off
track... but it just goes to show that what the Bible says is true... we
are all sinners saved by grace.... perfection is the goal for the faithful,
but full perfection is not going to be obtained this side of heaven. (Not
that, that, in any way justifies the wrongs done).
If we were all meant to be of like mind on all subjects, we'd be *robots for
the Kingdom. That is not what God calls us to be. We are called to be a
peculiar people, a chosen generation, but also to be individuals who choose
our paths in accordance with our personal interpretation of God's Word.
Some areas of Gods word call for no interpretation, such as "ALL HAVE
SINNED", but others, like our callings, ministries, involvement and
livelihood... they are meant to be worked out between God and YOU. (YOU
meaning each one of us).
FCF is just one of those areas. Not meant for all, not FOR all, but for
some. Some are there who should not, just as in many other ministries, but
that doesn't mean the ministry is the problem... some times, it's the
people.
When that happens, prayer is the key, not fire. That's God's call, not
ours.
In other words, just because way all are not called to a particular branch
of ministry doesn't make it wrong. Don't discourage others from following
their callings either by tearing down a ministry you either are not called
to, or don't understand... especially if your judgement/recommendation is
based on here-say.
I, for one, don't want to have to explain to God why I got in the way of
people trying to serve or participate his ordained ministries.... and... if
nothing else... I don't want to be the one to trample the God given vision
of Commander Barnes, and all the other brothers and sisters who have gone
before us.

I have had the opportunity to Join FCF, but since FCF is an auxiliary
part
of Royal Rangers like Chi Omega Rho (XOP) is also an auxiliary, it is not
mandatory to be in FCF or XOP. What gets me upset and turned off about it
is
all of the bragging of how FCF is the end all to everything. Things have
evolved to where it has become the Fighting Commanders Forum. I will
support
FCF and what it stands for, but the arguing and whining and complaining to
me
is defeating the purpose of this branch of the ministry. This is a
widespread
problem and it should be encouraged to stop.(it is making me sick to hear
all
of the squabbling) People get inducted into FCF at our powwow in August and
confirmed at the Trace in October. (Phase 1& 2)
I have not joined FCF due to job and personal situations, as I'm not able
to
follow up on it. Presently, I plan on continuing to be a tool that God uses
to help make the Royal Rangers in our area work. If the Lord calls me to be
in FCF then I will join, but I haven't received that call yet.
