When Jesus claimed to be the Christ many leaders feared Him
and then grew to hate Him. The Jews still teach that Jesus
is not, was not, can never be The Christ, and He is still
hated and greatly distrusted by them.
As a believer in and a follower of Christ you must remember
that Christ is your Shield. Before any mean or hateful
thing can hit you it must first hit Christ. Christ will
never let it hit you, but you can take it upon yourself, by
becoming offended. Do not mourn for what has been done to
ones-self, but instead mourn that Christ has taken those
stripes, and much more, for you.
You cannot stop the "knee-jerk" reactions, you also do not
need to stoop to their level. Please, do not allow your
eyes to stray from Christ. Seek after the Lord, in so doing
no one can can harm you. "Do not fear him who can harm your
body, but fear Him who is able to utterly destroy body &
soul."
I don't know about you but when I think of it in that light,
there is not much that can be done to me by man. What can
they do but send me to Heaven. Rats, what a shame. But,
even that cannot be done unless God allows it. The Apostle
Paul suffered beatings, a stoning, shipwreck, but still
lived to be a old man. Counting all that he had been thru
to be gain for Christ.
People will say that they did what they did out of love, but
the word "criticism", constructive or otherwise, is not
found in the Bible.

like to add that some
|of the things that were said about me really hurt. You may
express how you
|feel about the subject, but I was deeply offend. I wish
