I have heard that the official story is that the Royal Rangers first aid patch
for the Commander is the same one as for the Boys and it is worn in the same
place. The patch that says "Standard First Aid American Red Cross " has been
outlawed now and that one was worn 1/2 inch from the RR emblem on the left
sleeve.
This is now Potomac District policy on that anyway. Other Districts are
always free to rule as they see fit.
