In the Trailblazer Master Rating under mental growth compass the
question is asked: Show how to find North using the shadow stick sundial.
After thinking it over I believe I have an answer. However I would like
you guys to submit an answer especially if you have already done this.
BTW I think the illustration in Adventures in Camping is wrong. We are
going to make the sundial per the instructions and see if my conjecture
is right. I believe the sundial will be an arc above an East West line in
12 parts ( on the spring equinox, northern Hemisphere ) not a circle as
in the book.
I also think this is an inacurate method to find North. You can't even
build it without a watch ( at least easily ).
