Hello All, I was doing some research on the mentioned books that were included in the Challengers material. It recommended the Jeppeson Sanderson Private Pilot manual and I looked up the price of this material and it is extremely expensive. I'm talking over $100 dollars. I would be interested, but that is not what is in the budget. Many materials exist that cost much less and cover the topics more thoroughly. Can the program be so far sighted that it limits the whole program to just these books that are constantly getting revised and updated? I hope not. I'm going to draw from a more thorough resource that is geared for kids of this age group and provides a much greater understanding of Planes, Aerospace, avionics, and the whole works. I contacted the Sporty's shops in Ohio and they told me that the book that I would need the "FAR/AIM" book was $15.95. OK this is cool but more than $100.00 is not cool when you don't have the budget for it and other credible resources are available. Any one with how they have handled it? Please let me know Cmdr.
