To my fellow servants of the Most High God,

We as believers, disciples, and servants of the cross. Each day we
"choose" to follow Christ. We choose to pick up the cross to follow in
His blood filled steps. We choose to serve the dark or the light. We
choose to sin or to crucify the flesh. We choose to go forward in Christ
or fall back. We choose to stand for truth or hide from the truth.

My fellow servants of the cross, what do you choose?

Turn with me to the gospel of Luke. Turn to chapter 23 and read the
whole account. Let us pray. Dear heavenly Father, we need your wisdom
and truth each and everyday. We need your Holy Spirit to stand for
truth. For God's truth will cost us our lives. It cost your Son's life.
And down through the church age; it has cost many of a life. Help us
through out this day and the coming days to stand for "truth". In Jesus
name, Amen!

As we read this chapter, we find Pilate giving a chance to stand for
truth. Pilate ask Jesus a few questions. But he never follow through to
question the lies against Jesus. Never once brought witness in to
question them.

After asking Christ a few questions. He says: vs4. So Pilate said to
the chief priest and the crowd, "I find no fault in this man."

vs5 But they were the more fierce, saying "He stirs up the people
throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee to this place."

When Pilate heard the word Galilee. He quickly sent Jesus to Herod.
Pilate was scared of losing his position in life.

But Herod did not want to make the choice of truth. He pass Jesus off to
Pilate. Once again Pilate had to make a choice. He could not get out of
it. As he delayed, the crowd got more out of hand. Pilate tried to please
the crowd by beating Jesus. But the crowd wantedt death.

Pilate was not in charge. If he was, he would have controlled the crowd
and not given in.

What would have happen if Pilate did not choose the pressure of the
crowd?
1. He would not have been popular. 2. The crowd would have been more out
of control. 3. He might have been over thrown at that moment. 4. If all
of the above happen. The captain of the guard would have step in to take
control. Many of the rabble would have died. Pilate would have been
called to Rome.

Each day we are given a choice. As we go down the narrow road of life. A
life leading to Christ and eternal life. We must guard our hearts from
sin that will keep us from a close walk with Christ.

To choose Christ means standing for truth. But it also means being
unpopular in the world. Rejection by the rabble crowd.

Our we willing to take a stand for truth? Or our we going to follow the
rabble? The choice is yours.

your fellow servant of the Most High God,
