since we're talking about priorities, lets not forget the number 1
priority--cultivating a true relationship with Jesus Christ. When we give
our solitude times with God the number one priority, all the other
responsibilities seem to fall into place. I've also learned that if your
relationship with God is first place, "Burn-Out" is an idea seldom thought
of. Jesus was an extremely busy person, but everything He done had great
eternal significance. But, the key is, He would often retreat in Solitude
to be alone with the father. (i.e. 40 fasting in the Wilderness, The Garden
of Gethsemene, ect...) During those Solitude times it seems that He was
specifically preparing Himself for things that lie ahead. (His 3 year
ministry, The Crucifixion, ect...) Since we should model ourselves after
Christ, we too should place great importance on creating a time to spend
with the Father. And when we are truly fed, then we can in turn feed
others.
