Hello All,

I'm back after a week's absence. My computer just couldn't take the heat and
it melted down. So much new has happened with me in a week's time. My wife
found a new job, I found a new Ranger outpost and a place to fit in at, a new
church of where I actually know the pastor. I'm very excited because I
believe that this is what the Lord has brought for my wife and I. I love my
old outpost, but the concern here is for my wife's salvation. She is really
bitter about God for the death of her parents and this little tactical
maneuver was done so that she can receive some personal one on one type
counseling with the pastor so that she can learn how to not project the blame
on God for the deaths of her folks. Her mom died in '92 and her dad in '93
and she still holds onto it. The new church, I can see it's steeple from my
front doorstep, so I can walk there when the car doesn't work. I got
involved actively with the Ranger program there too. I walked in the door,
and they already wanted me to be the SrCmdr as people around here already
know me. I'm going to graciously take them up on it. God is doing some
miracles around here in little old Triangle, VA like sparing it from the
raging Forest fire not even a mile to our west. Though it is not exactly
like what Florida is going through, it is enough to be able to relate. A
county road separates the Prince William Forest Park from the Quantico Marine
Corps Base and the roads have been blocked off by the State, County and
Military police. Fire Depts from the County, Department of the Interior and
the Marine base are digging fire breaks and squelching flare ups. The damage
is over 5 miles in width.
But you know What? God is STILL Good! (He will always be that way.)
Triangle is spared from being toast, my new church is spared and the Lord
willing the most we will have to be concerned with is the dense smoke and the
Marines won't have some of their favorite foxholes to go hide in.
This is what the Lord has brought! Yes, the neighbors are getting feisty
about it, but I know it is under control, life is under control and under
authority, In light of all the change, I find a peace in it and peace these
days is pretty scarce. Praise the Lord folks! It's Sunday, but everyday is a
great day to give Him Praise!

Blessings,

Mike Burke
