Meeting ideas: Meeting Feature: Knot tying Recreation: 3-legged race obstacle course. Possibly use the knot learned in the tying of the legs together for the 3-legged race. Devotions: Have a rope all tied up into many knots (make sure that it is not a rope with much memory). Ask the boys if the rope as it is can be used very well. Point out that all the knots make the rope useless. Point out that sin in our lives can make our lives useless for serving God. As you untie the knots in the rope, discuss how God forgives us for our sins and makes us as if we hadn�t even sinned. Show the rope, now useful because of the removal of the knots, and tell them that if we ask God to forgive us, he will; and we can be used by Him again. Use the verse I John 1:9.
