Ex-employee behind O'Hairs' deaths

SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Authorities said for the first time Wednesday that missing atheist leader Madalyn Murray O'Hair and two of her adult children were dead, accusing a former employee of orchestrating their murders. The accusations against David Waters and three others came in a 36-page affidavit filed in court by the IRS. O'Hair, whose 1963 Supreme Court case led to the ban on organized prayer in public schools, vanished from San Antonio with her son, Jon Garth Murray, and granddaughter Robin Murray, and $500,000 in gold coins. Authorities said Waters, who is jailed in Austin on weapons charges, allegedly orchestrated the plot to steal at least $600,000 from O'Hair's United Secularists of America
