All,
I've been reading Life on the Mississip here recently.
In the book Twain talks about how the river is never the same and talks
about how a pilot has to memorize everthing on the river.
I think we can relate the river to our christian lifes. We might have easy
sailing
for a while then all the sudden we hit white water. When we hit the white
water
we feel as if we are getting no where and everthing is caving in on us.
It's easy to float with the current down stream, but to go up stream
requires work. Just like a pilot has to know the river we must know and
look to
the Lord for help. With out God's help we would stear the steamship towards
troubled waters. Thanks to God he gives us safe passage through the rivers
troubled waters.
