It is with some sadness that Florin International Assembly of God Church,
Sacramento, CA last night (6/2/99) voted to dissolve our membership and
combine with another local church (Southpointe Christian Center).
This has been a difficult time for us, as we were trying everything we could
to make ends meet, while the church membership declined. We have been
trying to sell the current church property, which would have allowed us to
move to a more visible location. This has not happened.
But, this is a great time. We will be joining with a larger church, adding
our spirits with theirs. We hope to use this merger to break barriers in
our community and start a revival of the spirit.
Our Rangers and Missionettes will be combining with them almost immediately,
with the remainder of the church starting services at the end of this month.
Please pray for the NEW combined membership of Southpointe Christian Center
as we merge with them.
