Yup... it's real alright.
It caused me to put my department through some major hurdles in the past 48
hours. Out of over 100 servers, we only lost 2... and we had backups of
those... thank the Lord. :-)

based on past experience, this one will show up here, anyway.
There is a real email virus running around that contains an executable
attachment called zipped_files.exe that you should NOT run. It is a real
virus
with a destructive payload. If you get it, it will be from a person you have
sent mail to recently, only they won't know that they sent it.
The message will look something like:
From: user_of_the_PC
Subject: Re: subject_of_the_original_message
To: sender_of_the_original_message
Hi sender_of_the_original_message !
I received your email and I shall send you a reply ASAP.
Till then, take a look at the attached zipped docs.
