All:

Where are all of the "die-hard" Rangers and leaders?

My son has been planning his trip to Eagle Rock for
over two years. He was really excited and this is something
that he has looked forward to and worked for for a long
time.

Last Friday, I received a call from the National Royal
Ranger office telling me that the Eagle Rock Adventure
had been CANCELLED DUE TO A LACK OF INTEREST
AND RESPONSE. I had mailed my money and my son's
form into the office in March in order to insure his spot
because only 100 boys are allowed to participate in the
adventure each year.

My son was scheduled to attend South Texas Youth Camp
this week. We received the news about Eagle Rock on
Friday afternoon and he left for Youth Camp on Monday.
We decided to wait until he returns form Youth Camp
to tell him the news.

We are looking at letting him go to the North Texas Sarge
Sellers Training camp in place of Eagle Rock. They do a
really good job but we had promised him for years that he
could go to Eagle Rock. Perhaps he will go to the Advanced
Merit Camp and work on his GMA or maybe to the
JLTC.

Pray for our family, we are in a transition period and will
be moving within the next two months. We have not
yet received an answer from God as to where we are
supposed to be. Nathan is driving 1 hr. 15 minutes to
1 1/2 hours One way to work. We need to be closer
to his work but so far nothing has opened up. We sold
our home that was flooded in October and are renting
a very small home while we try to buy a new one.

I am a very organized person and school starts in only
8 weeks--I need an answer and a home. Please pray
with and for us.
