Due to a busy week I have only just picked up my
post, and so have missed the 4th of July shinanagans.
But I give you a tongue in cheek English
Greeting.
Appologies to anyone who may be offended. I
truly like Americans. My Pastor and his wife are from Waterbury Connecticut, and
I love them so much I call them Mom & Dad.
Anyway, a thought.
Have you ever wondered why Americans don't drink
tea. I think its because they never got the hang of brewing it right. Take the
Boston Tea Party, Some bright spark had the idea of brewing it all at once by
throwing it into The Bay. Didn't catch on! wonder why?
To get a really good cup first warm a moderate sized teapot
with water from a boiled kettle. tip the water out, put a small amount of tea in
the pot, pour in the boiling water. leave to brew for 2 to 3 mins, and pour out.
Add milk and sugar to taste. Much better. Its all about economies of scale.
Quality not quantity.
Personally I don't much care for our national drink. I prefer
Dr Pepper. Guess that's why I'm so misunderstood.
Seriously America, I'm sure you enjoyed your day. And may God
continue to bless the special relationship that our two countries now
enjoy.
