Our Pastor has hired an assistant. So far it's nothing big but it's enough
to start grumbling and discouragement.

Part of it is Mike (the new assistant) is pushing aside events that we have
had scheduled for over a year. He has 2 daughters who are achievers in
Missionettes and is very pro for the Missionettes. I understand this, but
we don't want to be shoved aside.

We have worked so hard this past year. When we started there were no
uniforms. Now almost everyone, but guests have uniforms! The pioneers are
all earning their cut and chop cards, they had 4 at the Pow Wow (we are
small) and still got 2nd place for their campsite against outposts that had
20 or more. We have outings and events planed every month we have parents
getting excited and asking questions.

It's very frustrating to have someone who doesn't know you or what you've
accomplished come in and change things.

We are having a breakfast meeting with Mike and all of the Commanders on Sat.
the 24th so please be in prayer that God will be in this meeting with us and
that we can get to know each other and work together for the good of the
boys. My husband is getting a little discouraged and so am I.

I know I sound mule headed and I need prayer in this regard. I have sat in
a SS class he lead and he was a very good instructor (but I had to pray so I
could listen).

God Bless you all,
Kelly Gist
