I want to share a testamony this morning. As many of you know I have been battling a disabling illness everyday for the past 5 years. Also battling to get worker's comp. and SSDI. Through it all I have learn to trust in Jesus. Not only trust in Him but rest in Him. To lay my burdens at his feet and let Him carry it. Many of a time I have requisted prayer. God bless you all for your prayers. Lately it is very hard for me to go out in about with out getting sick. Last summer at this time i was fine. This year with the heat and humidity it is very hard for me to breathe. I thank God that He provided an a/c window unit last year. I placed it in my room where I do my sewing, reading, and praying. Frontier Camping Fellowship played a part in my life. God not only provided through this wilderness experience. He brought me through each level of FCF. He not only gave me a ministry by way of sewing. It also is a small home business. God is using it by way bring in some income. It might be much but it helps. Last week i had to get my records together for my lawyer. I had to make a profit and loss records for 96, and 97. 98 was already done. That year I made enough to claim to file. As I was typing in for those 2 years. I was thank God for my wife and another person. Those 2 help keep me a float. A friend gave out of his pocket. Kathie gave out from the budget. Those two years were my learning years. Learning how to sew. Buying equipment and material. Doing much research on the clothing of the 18th century. But most of all, it my time alone with God. He at that time was drawing me as he is now. He wanted me to focus on Him. He brought a study in of the book of Hebrews. He used Andrew Murry's "Most Holly of All". I have and still am learning about resting and faith. God used other ministries to get my attention. I thank God for the "In Touch Ministry". I have been getting a monthly devotional since sometime last year. I also thank God for the teaching I recieve from the Times Square Church. I thank God for also rangernet. For the friendship I have received. God is AWESOME! It is awesome to know our Father God through His Son, Jesus Christ. To have a deep relationship with Him. To not always come to Him with needs, wants, and hurts. But to come to Him with an open heart to receive from Him. To spend time at His feet with His Word. God knows our everyday needs before we ask. A few days ago was a blessing. The week before I sometime to kill. I surf the net by way of reenactment and Royal Ranger sites. I was looking for work. I gave my web site and mention that I am tailor for the 18th century looking for work. I had 3 response to my requsit. The Pen-Del District place a link to my web site. I agree to donate some money from an order. The second was from "On the Trail" magazine. It is a Christian run magazine that does articles about historal trekking. I stepped out in faith to place an ad in there for a low price. I already receive a few orders. God used the editor of the magazine to remind me who provides. He told me that there are no contracts. That if things change with the business that i could stop. He reminded me that my business not who provides. God is the one. God used that man to keep me focus. Thank you Jesus. The third one was from a sutler who sell clothing and other items to reenactors of the French and Indian War. Her and her husband run a small home business out their home. When I checked out their site. I notice that they were only 1 1/2 west of my house. This woman was very encouraged when I talked to her. I called sometime after her husband mention that she need to get out more to sell. But the only way she could do that was hire another person. BTW, they are not saved. But I believe this is an open door to reach a family for Christ. I explain on the phone what I sew and how long. What kind of experience I had in way of work. I gave her some information of suppliers(fabric). She did come over Thursday. She told me she did heard of me. She heard of the excellent work I do. Once she saw my work. She said to me that I know what I am doing. She has not seen quaility of work that I do. Right then there I proclaim who gave this talent. I mention to her that I give God all the credit. For without Him i would not be able to do this. Everytime she praise my work. I thank her, but i pointed her to Jesus. Then she ask who taught me. I told her God directed me to books and talking to different woman. She asked many quiestion about how to sew certain things that she did not know how to do. I was very nice to her. I asked her how long has she been sewing. She is the same age as I(51). She has been sewing since she was 7. I mention to her that back in 95, I asked my wife how to thread the sewing machine. I just practice on scraps and read books. I related the sewing machine and serge to the machine i repaired at work. God took the mechanical experience of 25 years and my art background to mound me into vessel for His glory. Anyway she hired me. Her mind must had been going a mile a second. She told me that since i am going to sew some for her. She will be able take more work. she had to turn owrk down many of a times. I also mention to her that I am an indepented contractor. God brings in the business. Nonone has a market on me, but God. This all came after Kathie and I realized that each month we need over $200 a month in profit to come from this business. That is just to cover all the bills. And does not include food, clothing, maintance of house and car. Then come Nov. till June 2000 when the car is paid off. We will have a second 4% morage to pay for. The house needs a new furnace, porch, and kitchen. So instead of $200 in profit. we need $400 for 8 months. God will and is providing in the Baldwin family. God used an adversity to wake me and this family up. PRASIE THE WONDERFUL NAME OF JUSUS CHRIST. PRAISE HIM AND ONLY HIM.
