Hello friends,

My name is Mark Hersee and I am new to the rangernet. I've been in Royal
Rangers (as a boy and leader) for 21 out of my 29 years.

I have to agree with Duane that FCF has a spirit that other living
history endeavors just cannot touch.

I have worked on staff at a few Old Fort Niagara a a few other museums in
western New York and have been involved in some BIG reenactments. But
I'll take our Trace any day. In fact earlier this year I was at what was
billed as the largest Rev. War reenactment of the decade at the Daniel
Boone homestead in PA and I was ready to go home after a day. For all
that it offered in historical expertise and adventure it lacked Eternal
Purpose. FCF is a ministry that can change a boy's life. Thank you Jesus!

I do have many opportunities to talk with reenactors about Royal Rangers
and FCF. I explain FCF as a living history ministry for the outstanding
boys in Royal Rangers. I describe FCF as service oriented and dedicated
to reenforce Christian principles in a boy's life. I also give them my
testimony and what FCF means to me.

Here in NY we tend to favor the 1750s to 1770s period so many of our
members do participate in French and Indian and Rev War reenactments.
This is a great opportunity for reenactors to see the great quality of
our FCF boys and the boys can see us live out our faith in front of so
many unsaved people.

Take care,
Mark
