Bill,
I can't think of a field day or day camp here in Texas that I've been to
where the boys weren't wearing shorts. It's just simply too hot to do
otherwise - in fact a lot of the commanders that brought boys were wearing
shorts. those of us running the activities were in outfits or uniforms but I
would have welcomed shorts.
