All,
I want to say a big thanks to everone who prayed for the Daniel Boone
trace that was this weekend as well as for myself. We had around 60 members
present
at the trace. Evening meal was Rost Beef on a bun, corn on the cob and
boiled
potatoes. We had a short time of praise and worship before heading to bed.
Saturday started with a short devition and afterwards was the events. The
events
that we had were rifle shot, stump preaching, hawk and knife throwing,
flint and steel,
outfits, horn blowing and a sencea run. Saturday we was on our own for the
meals.
we had the Buckskin ceremony and councile fire Saturday night so more boys
could take
part. There were three of us that went Buckskin that night. There FCF names
are Bullseys,
Buckshot and Spirit Rider. We did the ceremony rather different this year.
Instead of the
canadiates being asked to explain there FCF name, ect the counslor for each
canadiate
had to state the chosen name, ect. I had Two Forks be my Buckskin
counselor.
I'm proud of him because he even got my FCF outfit correct. ;-)
Overall we had a very good trace and some nice weather. It got pretty cold
Friday night and
we had some rain Saturday night and Sunday moning. If anyone has not been
to trace in
a while I'd like to encourage you to go.You will not be the same person
when you return.
Only problem was we needed Duane there with his banjo. ;-)

Later,

In the words of Patrick Henry: I know not what
course others may take, but as for me, give me
liberty or give me death.
