All,
Returned yesterday from the Blue Ridge Chapter's Fall Trace/Great Adventure.
Had an incredibly awesome time with GREAT weather!
Got a chance to teach the Knife and Hawk class. Hope I did ok. There were no
wounds anyway.
We had 165+ registered and 53 shelters. The Weary Traveler's Inn did bang up
business (they make some OUTSTANDING large muffins and cinnamon rolls).
Got some real excited Youngbucks- including one new one by the name of
Nathan Rothwell. Got the makin's of a fine frontiersman. 'Course I may be a
lil prejudiced towards him, he is my #2 son.
We took in 65 greenhorns. Wilderness candidate Ron "War Eagle" Miller brought
the word Saturday night and challenged us to hit the mark as well for God as
we do with hawk, knife, and smokepole.
AMEN!!!
Twas a real frontier hoot an' Burn'n Heart had the pleasure of escortin' his
pastor around the encampment on Saturday afternoon an' seein' 'im stick the
hawk dead center 3 times. Not bad fer an Eagle Scout! heheheee!!
Word has it that he talked up the Rangers from the pulpit real good on Sunday
morn.
Between my wife, my sons, my daughters, my pastor, the Rangers, and Rangernet
I am a truly blessed man.
And it all comes from the Lord my God. To Him belongs all the Glory and Honor.
Ad Dare Sevire,
Gary "Burn'n Heart" Rothwell
