Firstly to Adrian I would refer you to John 14:9 (my paraphrase) "Don't
you know me, Adrian, even after I have been with you such a long time?
My name is Griffiths not Griffin <BG> and I do not know if I have
another GCCC badge for you.
As Adrian has said I also joined Victor and his 'family' for a long
weekend's Pow Wow and in spite of the rain a good time was had by all.
I, and four others, travelled down from Queensland to attend. It was a
most rewarding time for which I praise God!!
For us it was a twelve hour trip and I must say, well worth it!! God was
truly present and I am sure many lives were touched.
We were classed as guests and as such we were hosted by various Outposts
for meals. It was at times touch and go whether or not our hosts would
remember. I almost missed breakfast on the last morning but with a
determination, driven by hunger, I found my hosts just before they
cleaned up the last of the food. All was not lost.
It was a time to meet and make new friends. A great talking point was
indeed not the fact that I was from Queensland ( and yes, we do have
friendly State rivalry) but my being a Co-Chaplain was something
different. We shared many ideas and I learnt a number of good ideas
which is what Pow Wow's are all about. The fellowship was tremendous.
Here in Queensland we have our Pow Wows (now called Jumbunna ) on our
Royal Rangers property. The ground is very hard and wherever you drive a
tent peg you are sure to find a rock, well a large stone anyway.
Victor's area was full of lush grass and the ground was soft due in part
to the recent and present rains.
It was a great time of rejoicing in the Lord and I also like to say
a big THANK YOU to Victor and his staff.
Well done you good and faithful servants!!
