All, Any of you ole timmers remember a guy by the name of Gen. James H. "Jimmy" Doolittle? I've been looking throught his autobiograhpy "I could never be so lucky again". This guy was a complet nut. In one example a guy bet Doolittle to stand on the axle of a biplane when it was landing. Little did Doolittle know that a Holywood director was there filming. When the General was reviewing the film here comes this plane with a guy standing on the axel. The General said " Ground Doolittle." When Doolittle asked how he know it was him, the General answered by saying " You're the only on the base crazy enough to try it." He also lead the April 18, 1942 raid on Tokyo. Both this book and Thirty seconds over Tokyo is well worth the reading.
