Amen, brother!

Jesus said, "Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be
shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves." (Matt. 10:16).

We are not called to be gullible (easily deceived, cheated, or duped), but
shrewd (marked by clever discerning awareness) and innocent (free from
guilt or sin; harmless). There is no way Jesus would command us to be
shrewd and innocent unless He also empowered us to be that way. Most of the
time, people on this mailing list act like Jesus said. Unfortunately, with
hundreds of people on the list, we tend to see the rash postings, and not
notice that several hundred people DIDN'T send us a hoax email, even though
not a few of them had an opportunity. Those who do, tend to get corrected
my many people. If you goof, don't let the response get to you -- just
learn from it.
