Here is a little thing I learned in High school when it came to remembering
the multiplication tables by 9.

Look at numbers going down the column, you have 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 as you look
from top to bottom. Now look at the numbers again looking from bottom to
top, they are the same numbers in the next column, just in reverse order.
