Those that remember NTC '96 at Donner Mine camp and the 12-14" of
California rain know that ->A No.1<- never abandoned camp even when
there was standing water in the firepit!

Sr.Guide "Fastjack" Fortner complimented me on my excellent firecraft
skills in blowing rain... (*I used road flares to get the cookout coles
nice and hot- and tarped over the firepit)

*Yes I got a GI wood stove and a propane Mr. Heat... for my 16' crow
Tipi... My question was to do with how serious you tend yur fires...

Nutt'n can get my dander going like someone messing with my DRY KINDLE'n..

I know y'all might brag on bad weather.. but watch the National news fer
reports on Oregon/Wash'nton... If'n it came as snow... it'd be 16' ft
a year! *Lucky it comes as bone cold rain down yur neck.<G>

Oh,
I think the attendees of ANTC '99 aka Floyd's Folly are well familiar with
rain.
Nothin' like puttin' up a 20' tower or a 50' monkey bridge in a torrential
downpour with frequent gale force gusts of wind.
A memorable weekend indeed.
And Allen Gell showed us how to heat a can of soup with highway flares.
Enjoyed trashcan turkey , too!
