Hello All,

I just wanted to say that today was the day that I had to either fly or
sink when it comes to computers. I had to assist my dad in installing
Windows 98 on to his computer. He was really skeptical of this because he
operates a used book business over the Internet. Other than what he does he
is not computer literate.
He is in New Hampshire and I'm in Virginia, so I had to help him. Under
normal circumstances, Windows 98 will install automatically, but he had a
problem using his Compaq Presario. I thought that it was highly unusual that
the problem would occur because it wasn't supposed to. Well, through a
little exploration we were able to correct the problem, somehow. All I can
say is that it was God's grace because that is the only thing that logically
explains what happened.
My dad was concerned that he would loose his whole book business because
what he does is time sensitive. Well, after a couple of attempts everything
began to work correctly, even though his computer was saying that hard drive
failure was eminent.
We got the Windows 98 installed and it works just fine now. I don't know
what happened with it. But we ran a ScanDisk and all of a sudden his hard
drive failure cleared up. Boy was I starting to sweat it because I could not
explain what had happened and the family business was affected by this little
glitch. Praise God, that it seems to be all right now. I believe in
miracles and it is my prayer that this is testimony to him that yes there is
a God and this is a way that He often provides relief.

Praise GOD because the family business is not lost due to a computer
malfunction.

Just thought that I would share.

Iron Mike
