After high winds blew out our Internet connection in Bellevue Washington
today (100 miles north of us) and shut our computers down today, and also
after we lost power 20 minutes yesterday due to the weather I'd thought I'd
share this calendar as a tool for you and your Rangers families to be Ready
For Anything - this calendar is to assist in not having to buy everything
all at once.

MONTH 1 - things to hand to set aside or purchase:
Water (enough for 3 gallons per person)
Hand-Operated can opener and bottle opener
Instant drinks; coffee, tea, powdered soft drinks
2 flashlights w/batteries

MONTH 2 - things to hand to set aside or purchase:
Canned meat, stew or pasta meal (5 per person)
Any special dietary foods for special diets, (diabetic foods etc) -enough
for 3 days
2 rolls of toilet paper per person
Crescent wrenches or utility shutoff tools

MONTH 3 - things to hand to set aside or purchase:
Canned fruit - 3 cans per person
Sanitary napkins (for the women in your household)
family-sized first aid kit

MONTH 4 - things to hand to set aside or purchase:
Canned vegetables - 4 per person
(any needs for a baby in the house -baby bottles, formula, diapers0
(any needs for a pet in the house, extra bag of dry food)
Large storage containers for tools/food

MONTH 5 -things to hand to set aside or purchase:
Canned ready to eat soup - 2 per person
Liquid disk soap
liquid bleach
portable am/fm battery operated radio / batteries
anti-bacterial liquid hand soap
handy wipes
