I'll bet that if you ask ten people for the lyrics to "Froggie Went
A-courtin'" you'll get ten different answers. There is a great website for
the lyrics to children's songs. http://www.KIDiddles.com. They have five
verses for Short'nin' Bread and three versions to "Froggie...". The one
closest to the way my grandmother taught it to me is at
