Hi Matt,

The Boy Scouts sell a Compass Game for about $10.00.  All you do is get a 100 
foot rope and mark off 20' increments, just like at NTC.  A hot tip is to 
have the boys walk the rope and get their pace, then you do the math and 
write on their card the number of paces they must walk for the particular 
compass bearing.  It will go a lot smoother.  The objective is to teach 
compass skills and not math.  They can learn soon enough about their pace and 
number of feet, etc.
