He led his own programme of 700 Royal Rangers as well as other responsibilities for the National Royal Rangers movement in Germany up until late this year. He has quite an extraordinary background having been born in Burundi, a country very similar to Rwanda, and a neighbouring country to the south. In 1970 when he was 18 he moved to Germany to pursue further studies in engineering. While there, there was a civil uprising in Burundi which resulted in him being granted German citizenship and remaining in the country. He speaks several languages, including Burundi, Rwandan, German, French and English. During the turbulent 1960�s and 70�s in Burundi he lost both parents, brothers and sisters to the Hutu Tutsi warring and a further brother to military purges in the 90�s. He has a definite all and burden from the Lord to minister to the children of Rwanda, most of whom carry the scars of the 20th Centuries worst acts of genocide between the Hutu and Tutsi tribes. The Rwandan Government confirm there to be 150,000 �child headed families� in the country. The thrust of his work will be to minister the love of God to the children of Rwanda through the practical and spiritual aspects of the Royal Rangers programme. Yours in Christ Jesus.
