I have been reading and deleting posting about uniforms, outpost, and such. Now here is my 2 cents. This is coming from an inactive cmdr. who was drafted by God to be a cmdr. for the 12 to 17 age group. What is my experience and training? Training: LTC, NTC UNLTC and FCF(Wilderness) Positions: Sectional Staff(FCF and instructor) and Trailblazer cmdr. I agree with many of you. To have an active and out going outpost: 1. The pastor and the board must buy into it. 2. The parents must be involved(helpers) 3. Commanders that see Royal Rangers through the eyes of a boy 4. The Senior cmdr. and staff needs to trained 5. Wearing the uniform at each meeting 6. A chart(point) system or merit 7. A well plan meeting and camp out 8. Visitation 9. Reaching out to the community. such as community projects 10 The local church needs to be on fire for God. I believe the problem is not at the national level or with a 35 year old manual. The problem lies at the church level. 11 The Youth should not feel threaten. The Youth group should meet on a different night. 12. Alive church is a church that is alive for Christ. Telling others about what God is doing with in their hearts. A live church is reaching out to the community for Christ by of ministries. Where each member is involved with ministry. 13. Very important..... Is it a one man show or is each person involved. 14. Very important....Are the boys involved. Meaning do they lead and are they aloud to lead. Are they apart in the planning process 15 Very important.........Are there monthly, quarterly, and yearly planning sessions 16. God owns this ministry. I believe this ministry can be used in other churches that preach salvation, baptism, and filled with the Holy Spirit. 17 Keep the uniform..........If I was a boy, I would be proud to wear my merits. It seems like when you go to a t-shirt. You are going to an equal planning field. Is not the schools failing because they are trying to keep everyone at the same level. Push Johnnie through even if he does not pass the test. We are not the world. We must be what God made us. A powerful church filled with the Holy Ghost. Being a Christ to those around us. You'll have kids that will come. Just to be around friends. How are you going to reach them? Are you willing to reach their parents. Royal Rangers is not a separated ministry from the church and neither is any other ministry. It is a tool to reach, teach keep children and even parents for Christ. One must have God first then family then job, ministry and etc. If these is out of order in ones life. Ministry will not work. Your relationship with God will not be first. Your family will not be functioning right. Dear brethren, we need a revival. Brethren, are you going through the motions? Is Jesus first in your life? Do you love your wife and children? Are you a Godly example on your job? Are you excited to tell others about Jesus? The church you go to. Is God there and moving within and out? Is the church growing in numbers and growth with each person? Brethren, I have seen it in my own life. Where I had my prorities in the wrong order. God used an accident at work for his benifect. I am now a better Christian than ever.
