Noel
You've just reminded me of an event which is carried out by the congregation
at Aspull Methodists, Wigan. The Christmas tree is saved and, at Easter made
into a cross. This cross is then covered in chicken wire and during the
Easter service, the children place flowers in the chicken wire. So the
symbol of life dies and flowers again. The completed tree is "planted"
outside of the church premises.
