I know a couple of good recipes for coffee.
FCF Coffee:
put enough whole beans into the bottom of your pot, cover with COLD water, put a lid on it and boil it till it is the darkness you desire. It can stay warm all day and tastes better the longer you leave it.
Finnish Coffee:
add egg shells to your coffee grounds. It takes away the bitterness. I understand that the Finnish preferred their coffee weak, a little bit of unconfirmed Living History. I would have a hard time with that, I like strong coffee but my nerves don't.
